Does wearing the best cologne even make a difference to women?
As this study here on the effect of scent on attraction discovered, smells do affect how men and women are attracted to each other (but you already knew that, right?).
So, this leads us to a question a lot of guys ask while at department store perfume counters or reading men’s magazines.
That is, they ask this:
Which scents will make me the most attractive to women?
Well, in my many years of experience – wasting hundreds of dollars on colognes that got a lukewarm or neutral response from women – I feel I have answered that question.
Here are three scents I recommend 100%:
Creed Green Irish Tweed
This scent was recommended to me a couple years ago by a friend of mine who told me, “This is the BEST cologne in the entire world and my girlfriend can’t take her hands off of me when I’m wearing it.”
After a few weeks of seeing it online and telling myself, “There is no way I’m paying THAT much for a bottle of cologne,” I took the plunge.
Since then, I can’t even remember how many compliments I received. I can’t remember how many women have told me, “You smell AMAZING!”
Author’s note: I still use the same bottle I bought more than two years ago. If you only use it for special occasions like I do, it will last you a LONG time.
This scent can never be accused of being girly or sweet in any way.
Even though it’s way less expensive than Creed Green Irish Tweed, it still communicates a quiet sophistication that women seem to find attractive.
Why do women like this scent on a guy?
Because, it smells like masculinity in a bottle and is the complete opposite of the cheap, syrupy-sweet colognes very young guys bathe in when they don’t know any better.
Marc Jacobs for Men
It will make her feel like she is sitting on the beach in some warm tropical destination.
I know a lot of guys who swear by this scent as a certified attention-getter with women.
Note: I’m one of those guys.
Don’t Buy Cologne
Will a bottle of pricey cologne make her like you if she doesn’t already like your personality or looks?
No, it will not help.
At the end of the day, wearing a good scent only helps as an attraction enhancer.
So, if money is tight, don’t buy cologne. Spend the money on something else.
Of course, if you have the money to spend, 1-2 sprays of the good stuff can seriously impact the way women are attracted to you.
Just think, do you want to be forgettable?
Or, would you rather be the guy who hears a woman say, “My God. What are you wearing??”
